Ingredients

  • 500 g lukewarm water
  • 200 g prunes
  • 450 g whole nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts)
  • 150 g dates (Medjool) or date paste
  • 250 g dried figs
  • 200 g dried apricots
  • 200 g wholemeal spelt flour
  • grated peel of half a lemon and orange
  • 3 tablespoons carob:GEIM PROTEIN
  • 2 tablespoons date:SUGAR
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • A pinch of clove powder

Here's how it's done:

  1. Soak dates and prunes in 500 g of lukewarm water
  2. Preheat oven to 150 degrees top and bottom heat.
  3. Briefly mix all the nuts in a food processor until there are still small pieces.
  4. Cut dried figs and apricots into cubes.
  5. Mix the soaked dates and plums with the water to form a paste.
  6. Mix the nuts and all other dry ingredients well, add the dried fruit and stir in the date and plum mix until a smooth dough is formed.
  7. Pour the dough into a loaf pan lined with baking paper and bake for approx. 85 minutes at 150 degrees top and bottom heat.
  8. Let cool and enjoy.
